In September 2015, Donna Ross was a speaker in both Sydney and Melbourne at ‘kon gres, a bi-annual ADR symposium organized by Resolution Institute (formerly LEADR and IAMA) in multiple cities across Australia. In her presentation “Med-Arb or Arb-Med: Ethical and practical considerations for single neutrals”, she described the different combinations of mediation and arbitration, step or escalation clauses that encompass the two modes of dispute resolution and safeguards to adopt when the same neutral acts in both.
